We don’t know from horses.
Strike that. My mom did. She had a pony named Queenie when she was growing up. And I’m fairly sure that I was around Grandpa’s horses quite a bit. Certainly, the cows and I used to hang out (remind me to add that photo later).
But in our adult life, neither Brett nor I have had anything to do with horses. But our girls continue to stumble upon Planet Horse and have much enjoyed their adventures there.
Unbelievably, we didn’t ride horses at any time during our trip to Alberta last year. They were old hat to the kids out there (only for tourists) and Auntie Laura’s horse was foundering (too much grass) and wasn’t interested in anything but sleep. We settled for a trick-stunt on Midnight, the ever-disgruntled pony.
